Itinerary of Fes Desert Trip 3 Days:
Fes Desert Trip 3 Days, will take you on a journey through some of Morocco’s most iconic cities and destinations, starting at the imperial city of Fes, to the world-famous Erg Chebbi desert. Your itinerary will include some breathtaking locations throughout the Middle Atlas Mountains, such as Ifrane city, the Azrou forest, Midelt and the Ziz gorges.

- Spending one or multiple nights at a genuine traditional Kasbah.
- Journeying/hiking through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
- Camel trekking through the desert from the town of Merzouga.
- Spending the night in traditional tents at a desert camp.
- Witnessing the sunset and sunrise from the top of the highest dunes in the desert.
1st Day: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
For this Fes Desert Trip, we will start by picking you up from your accommodation to begin our exciting journey towards the Sahara desert. You will enjoy a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at many Berber towns such as Ifrane and Azrou. From forests to green plains to rocky roads, you will see it all. By noon, we will stop at the town of Midelt to have lunch and enjoy a nice refreshing break, before taking back the road towards Merzouga village. Once we finally get there, we will check in to the Kasbah where we will be spending the night.
2nd Day: Merzouga – Desert Adventure and Camel Trekking
This is the official day where you can try out all the exciting desert activities, starting with a ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes in a 4×4 vehicle. During the drive, you will notice many black scattered randomly throughout the desert: those are the tents of Nomadic Berbers who choose to live their lives wandering through the Sahara. We will stop by one of those families and have a cup of tea with them so that you can learn more about their culture and way of life. Another group of indigenous people who choose to live in the Sahara is the people of Khamlia village, which we will visit next.
You will get to listen to their spiritual music and enjoy their company before we head back to our Kasbah hotel to have lunch (or we can have lunch in the village). After getting some rest, you will get to mount a camel and ride it through the majestic desert dunes during the sunset, before arriving at the desert camp where you will spend the night. At the camp, you will have dinner accompanied by a fun time with Berber music and dance.
3rd Day: Merzouga – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes (Fes Desert Tour)
This morning you will be woken up by your desert guide in order to watch the early morning sun deposit its first rays on the desert dunes, in a scene that can only be described as heavenly. After this, we will again ride the camels back to Merzouga, on a scenic trip through the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will have breakfast at a traditional Riad in the town, then we will leave the desert to return to Fez taking the same scenic ride as the day before. Finally, when we get to Fez, we will drop you off at your preferred location.
