Itinerary: Marrakech Chegaga Desert 3 Days
Marrakech Chegaga Desert 3 Days will take you on a magnificent desert journey throughout Morocco’s biggest and wildest desert: Erg Chegaga. Starting at the world-famous red city of Marrakech, you will travel through amazing villages and destinations throughout the impressive Draa valley.

Some highlights of this tour include, but are not limited to:
- Traveling through the great High Atlas Mountains.
- Exploring the filming sites at the historical Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
- Journeying through the Draa Valley.
- Spending the night in traditional tents at a traditional desert camp.
- Witnessing the sunrise and sunset from the top of the highest dunes around the camp.
- Stopping by small Berber villages such as Foum Zguid.
1st Day: Marrakech – Atlas Mountain – Tizi NTichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Our desert tour will start by leaving Marrakech city and traveling through the scenic High Atlas Mountains. After crossing the Tizin Tichka Mountain pass (at an altitude of 2260 meters), we will get to Ouarzazate city: The Hollywood of Morocco. We will then directly head to explore the nearby Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which a protected UNESCO world heritage. Finally, we will return to Ouarzazate to spend the night.
2nd Day: Ouarzazate – Anti Atlas – Agdez – Draa Valley – Zagora – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga (Marrakech Chegaga Desert Tour)
This morning, we will have breakfast then continue our adventure by driving along the amazing Draa valley. We will stop for lunch at a small town called Amzerou on our way to Mhamid village. At this point, we will start traveling through pure desert paths, which will lead us to our desert camp in the middle of Erg Chegaga dunes. You will a night of pure connection with nature in the middle of the desert, sleeping in traditional nomad tents to get the full experience.
3rd Day: Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakhte – High Atlas – Marrakech (Marrakech Chegaga Desert Trip)
For the last day of our Marrakech to Zagora tour, we will be driving back to Marrakech, through the desert route of the Paris-Dakar Rally. After passing by many Berber villages such as Foum Zguid and Amerzgane, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains once again before finally arriving at Marrakech.
